PUMP SERIES ‘KP’, VC NO – KP008

VOLCAN ‘KP’ Series pumps are horizontal Non-Clog pump capable to handling heavily contaminated or muddy liquids with solids in suspension such as mash, pulps, sewage etc. A special Chanal type Non Clogging Impeller ensures solids to be handled without difficulty.

The Impeller can be supplied with auxiliary vanes at the back to reduce pressure on the stuffing Box. The stuffing box can be arranged with a seal for pressurized clear water sealing or grease sealing when encountering high suction lifts.

Since a foot valve is not effective when pump handles contaminated liquids, it is advisable priming should be done by a priming device such as vacuum pump. Pump is started with positive suction head and continuous pumping to the required depth. These pumps are effective as face pump for drainage out the heavily contaminated water present at the surface of underground mines.
