PUMP SERIES ‘SL’, VC NO – SL006

VOLCAN Sand and Slurry pump is specially built for handling all type of sand, abrasive Slurries and pulps. This pump can be economically used on mixtures containing ore concentrates, tailings, slag, mill-clay, filter residues, overflow from classifiers coal washers, cement slurries, glass sand, gravel or almost any abrasive material in slurry form.
The basic design or standard construction is cast Iron with liners and Impeller made of either hard metal or rubber surfaced. The hard metal liners and impellers are made to such materials as chrome –iron, Ni-hard (Nickle iron) stainless steel and special Alloys. Wear parts of these materials enable the best selection for a large variety of uses. The rubber liners Impeller are used for fine abrasive and special slurries where rubber withstands the abrasion better than any other metal.
Drive selection is important for Slurry Pump. Most drivers are by V-Belt operation arranged for over head mounted or horizontal drive, mounted on an integral base. The V-Belt drive is recommended because it provides simple speed change and economical operation. VOLCAN pumps are also available as direct coupled units mounted on a base with Motor and Coupling or as separate pumps without motor, base or coupling.
